Recent Changes to Kansas DUI Law
Look Back to July 2001 For Priors
Prior to change prior DUI's were lifetime occurrences. Now only prior DUI convictions before 2001 will be used to make a DUI a second or felony third. Applies to arrest after July 2011.
DUI Expungements
Can expunge prior convictions within 10 years . Must have no arrest in the interim.
Ignition Interlock
Can drive with Ignition Interlock after 45 days suspension. This applies to long DUI suspensions. You have to apply to the Kansas Department of Revenue and pay $100 application fee.
Driver's License Hearing Application Fee
Have to pay application fee when you request hearing
